Education

The Department of Environmental Science is responsible for the degree programme in Environmental science, which is the oldest and the most versatile degree program in its field.

The Department of Environmental Science and the Department Physics are responsible for the new Science and engineering degree program starting in autumn 2005.

The post graduate training in environmental science is active. About 70 doctoral students are currently supervised by the personnel of the department. Five to ten doctoral theses are completed, annually. The department participates in the following graduate schools: • Graduate school in Environmental health (SYTYKE) • Graduate School in Forest Sciences • Finnish Graduate School in Environmental Science and Technology (EnSTe).
