Web-FixIT:
A FileMan-Java/browser applications
development toolkit
Web-FixIT is an applications development toolkit for FileMan
databases and web browser front-ends, based on Java applets and functionally
equivalent to the Delphi-FixIT toolkit. A
Finnish version is commercially available since January 2000, for registered
customers only. An internationalized Free FixIT version is available free of
charge. Free support is available only through the Hardhats user community.
The Web-FixIT toolkit was implemented by the University of Kuopio,
Computing Centre, in a research project funded by the
National Technology Agency of
Finland TEKES together with four software companies and three university
hospitals in Finland. The project started on 1st January 1998 and ended by 31st
December 1999. The architecture will be further developed in the
Component-FixIT project.
