SOLEA 2009 is organized in conjunction with SOLEA project which studies and develops actionable solutions, models and methods related to Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Enterprise Architecture (EA). Central themes of the symposium include:

• How service-orientation should affect EA and how it helps to align Business and IT in specific domains such as healthcare, finance and industry?
• How the benefits of SOA are achieved and how to adapt generic solutions and standards locally in relation to SOA?
• How to identify and define services to maximize the promised business benefits?
• How business processes and services are in a focal role in enterprise architecture?
• How to design solutions effectively and make sure of interoperability for the networked processes?
