PRS2009

The Papermaking Research Symposium will take place on 1-4 June 2009 in Kuopio, Finland. The goal of the symposium is to bring together experts from both the academic and industrial fields. It is a forum where the latest scientific discoveries can be converted into technology innovations in the pulp and paper industry, and where the current needs of the industry can be communicated to researchers. The symposium topics include modelling, experiments and papermaking technology.

Paper Physics group

PRS2009 is organized by Paper Physics group located at the Department of Physics. Our objective is to develop modelling at the internationally recognized academic level, and hereby to obtain the most up-to-date knowledge of the related phenomena. Reliability of the models is validated with experimental measurements done by our partners. Furthermore, the most recent knowledge is transformed to software tools and to every-day usage in the industry, done in close co-operation with modelling enterprises, research institutes and industry.
