We are a group of nutrition researchers from the University of Kuopio, Finland. We work at the Research Institute of Public Health, which is lead by Professor (acting) Tomi-Pekka Tuomainen, MD, PhD. The main field of research is epidemiological research, but we also do clinical drug and food studies. The University of Kuopio specializes in health sciences. The University has 6200 students enrolled, of which about 4800 are undergraduates. The University of Kuopio is the only place in Finland where one can study clinical nutrition and become a certified clinical nutritionist.
