Kuopio University Library is an academic library open to all. Library collections and expertise are focused on health sciences, pharmacy, biosciences, environmental sciences, information technology, business, and social sciences. The collection of the Finnish Nobel prize winner, A.I.Virtanen, is also located in the library.

The library collections consist of printed and networked material. Many library services are also available on the web.
