Remote access to electronic publications and databases

• The use of remote service is governed by licence agreements concluded by the Library. Staff, researchers and students of the University of Kuopio as well as Kuopio University Hospital staff may use the service for personal study and research purposes. All other use, such as commercial or business-oriented use is prohibited.
• Kuopio Open University students may use resources licenced through Finnish National Electronic Library (FinELib).
• To use the remote service, you need a username and password for the University of Kuopio Messi or Hytti servers. The username and password may be obtained from the University of Kuopio Information Technology Centre.
• Kuopio Open University students may open remote connection using Onnikka username and password available from Open University.
• Kuopio University Hospital staff may open remote connection using Nelli username and password. Nelli username and password are available from KUH Medical Library.
• We recommend that you open the remote connection from your personal computer only. If you must use a public computer - e.g. in a library or Internet café - please clear the cache memory in the web browser and close the browser after finishing your work.
• Please log out from remote connection by closing web browser after finishing your work.
