RefWorks
RefWorks is Internet based personal
literature reference management program. Each user has a personal database
area on the RefWorks server. You enter your references on this database either manually
with keyboard, or electronically
online. The online input is possible from several literature databases,
e.g. Josku, PubMed, CSA, or Nelli portal. You may search and print the references on your RefWorks
database. You may also pick up relevant references and insert them as
citations on your manuscript. After you have finished your manuscript, you
can print a complete paper with citations and reference list, using journal
format of your choice. This functionality is compatible with the
Word program.
The RefWorks is just like EndNote or Reference Manager. Being
accessible on the Internet, it is easy to use the RefWorks to manage your
literature references everywhere. You need only Internet connection and web browser.
The Kuopio University Library has bought a campus licence for the
RefWorks. All students, researchers and staff of the University of Kuopio may use
the program free of charge for personal study and research purposes. Commercial
or business-oriented use is prohibited.
The RefWorks program has comprehensive help
function. You'll find it on top of the screen. The help is worth looking

- How to start - you have
to create your personal RefWorks login name and password at first.
If you have to do this from outside University of Kuopio or Kuopio
University Hospital (KYS) networks, please contact Heikki Laitinen.
- Login to RefWorks: http://www.refworks.com/refworks
How to access RefWorks from home
Please click "Login to RefWorks" link above. Enter your Group Code
(sent to your e-mail when you signed up for your RefWorks account)
on Remote Access box and click "Go To Login"
button. After this, login to RefWorks using your login name and password.
