Training placements
The University of Kuopio welcomes applications from exchange students for training placements in the fields of:
Eligibility
You should have completed at least the
basic or intermediate level studies (1-2 years) at your home University in order
to be eligible to apply. The pracatical training has to be approved by your home
university. This is why you need the signatures for the application form. In
addition you must be enrolled as a full-time student at your home
University both at the time of the application and during the exchange.
Please note that most of the placements are unpaid. However,
the training period can be included in exchange programmes
like Erasmus and Nordplus. In order to find out if you are entitled to use an
exchange programme and the benefits of it (like the scholarship) for these
training placements, please contact the international coordinators at your HOME
university.
Application
The application deadline is 30 April 2009 which is
the same as for study exchanges. You can use our regular
exchange application
form to apply for these placements. Please note that in addition to your
transcript of academic record, a CV has to be enclosed. When filling in
the form, please write the title of the training placement (for example
Biosciences Placement Offer 6) in the section 6, the Learning
Agreement in the application form.
Send the signed application with the transcripts and CV's
enclosed to the International Office at the University of Kuopio.
Services
In the University of
Kuopio the trainees are entitled to the same services and benefits as the
exchange students who come here for studying. Please see here for
