The University of Kuopio is situated on Savilahti Bay, near the University Hospital, about 2 kilometres from the centre of the town. The University consists of buidings called Canthia, Medistudia, Mediteknia, Melania and Snellmania. Some of the University departments are also located in Bioteknia, Technopolis and Tietoteknia -buildings.

Traffic connections

Kuopio city can be reached easily by plane, train, bus or car. The university is located ca 1,5 km from the city centre. Local traffic buses numbers 4, 16, 21, 23 and 48 from city centre stop at the university bus stop.
