eHealth Partners research network

eHealth Partners is a network of leading research institutions and companies in the e-health field in Finland. There have been two research projects implemented by the network so far: eHealth Partners Finland (2006-2007) and China-Finland e-Health Partnership (2007-2008). The Export HIS project (2004-2006) created the basis for the later eHP projects.

The research institutions involved in the eHP network are the Healthcare Information Systems Research and Development Unit (HIS R&D Unit) of the University of Kuopio (Adjunct Prof Mikko Korpela, Postdoctoral Researcher Juha Mykkänen), the Department of Computer Sciences of the University of Tampere (Prof Pirkko Nykänen), and recently the Software Business and Engineering Institute SoberIT of the Helsinki University of Technology (Prof Matti Hämäläinen).
