Workshop: Tuning health promotion competences
Chair: Dr Heikki Pekkarinen, Finland
Two parallel workshops (In English and In Finnish).
Health promotion is one of the biggest tasks for our society, and requires co-operation between different sectors, e.g. medical, social, education, physical education, and third sector, and between people working in these sectors. Health promotion requires a large number of versatile competences.
In the Tuning approach competences represent a dynamic combination of knowledge, understanding, skills, abilities and attitudes and are distinguished between generic and subject specific ones. In the workshops the aim is to figure out what kind of competences we really need in health promotion, and how we could help people working in different sectors and with different target groups to achieve these competences.
