Please submit your abstract by e-mail to puijo.symposium@uku.fi by May 20, 2009. All accepted abstracts will be eligible for The Ralph S. Paffenbarger Jr. Poster Award unless the author informs us not to participate in the competition. 1. Abstract should be max. 300 words and it must be written in English. The margins are (A4 paper): upper 45 mm, lower 12 mm, left 30 mm and right 30 mm. Recommended font size is 12 pt. and font style Arial.
2. The title of the abstract should be in CAPITAL letters.
3. The author list should begin on a new line. List complete names of the authors (no degrees or titles) with institution, city and country.
4. Text: Leave a blank line between author listing and body of the abstract. Formulate the text using division into paragraphs with titles: Objectives, Methods, Results and Conclusions. Describe briefly purpose of the study and methods. State findings in detail sufficient to support conclusions. Do not include references, credits, or grant support.
5. The final abstract must fit within space mentioned above. Number of characters should not exceed 1900, including title, author’s name and institution, and blank line between author listing and body of abstract.
Posters should be 90 cm wide and 120 cm high. When planning your poster, please note that the organizers will enlarge your abstract (A4 size), which will be placed at the upper left hand corner of the board. Posters should be mounted on Tuesday, June 23 by 10 a.m. and they may remain in place until noon June 26th. The number of your poster board will be given you at the registration desk.
