BioMater 'in brief'

BioMater is a department offering facilities for researchers and it is administrated by several faculties: pharmaceutical, natural and environmental sciences, medical sciences and the A. I. Virtanen institute.

Functional focus fields for BioMater include development of the equipment, teaching, methodology and research involved in biomaterials research as well as utilizing the know-how for industrial applications.

One of the main goals is to support development of education and research of the technical and natural sciences at the university of Kuopio.
